Super Eagles' Elderson Echiejile joins Monaco from Sporting Braga

Elderson Echiejile formerly of Rennes, and Sporting Braga has joined
Monaco of France on a four and a half year deal.
Bearing his mind on the transfer, he had this to say to the Monaco website

"I am very happy and proud - Monaco is one of the best clubs in Europe,"
"They have a great reputation in Africa since George Weah played
here." he went further:
As well as former Liberia striker Weah - three-time African Player of
the Year and 1995 World Player of the Year - he concluded by saying:
the "great Nigerian players who have worn the Monaco jersey, like
Lukman Haruna and Victor Ikpeba"

He now joins the select group of Nigerians who have featured for Monaco.
He was part of the successful Nigerian team to the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
This move represent a career high for Echiejile has Monaco are once
again a rising power in European football because of their huge
investment on players such as Radamal Falcao.
