France to feature in Euro 2016 qualifiers as host nation.


France are to become the first host nation to feature in a European
Championship qualifier after a rule change by UEFA.
Uefa's new rule which is outlined in Euro 2016 regulation article
21.02, states as follows:

"The teams drawn into the group of five teams will have France added
to their group for the purpose of playing."

However the the match involving France will have no points awarded for
it and it will be referred to as "centralised friendlies"

The group-stage draw will have nine pools of six teams each.
The draws comes up on the 23rd of February.
Gibraltar a new member of UEFA whose status was confirmed last year by
a court ruling will feature in the qualifiers for the first time.
Although, they are not yet a FIFA member.
