Mourinho: It’s in Wenger’s nature to complain

Juan Mata's eminent transfer to Manchester United has brought up some
inquisition from the Premier league top managers.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reacted to Arsene Wenger's "unfair" claim
in respect to Mata's move by saying Wenger has a habit of complaining,

"Wenger complaining is normal. Because he always does. It's his
nature. We have to accept the way he is," Mourinho was quoted as
saying.
"This is the market. We don't set the market, we don't make the rules.
We have just to act according to the rules."
"Arsene's a very intelligent man, who always has an opinion and always
likes to show and share that opinion."

The Chelsea manager continued:

"What I think is unfair is that I played twice against Southampton,
but now Dejan Lovren is injured and won't play against Arsenal. Is
that fair? No. That's life. That's football," he added.
"Yet when he says that this is not fair, I think what is not fair is
that his team always has the best days to play. Always. Always. They
always get the right to rest and the right time to play. It's
fantastic. THAT'S not fair."

Mourinho feels Wenger, instead, should have been happy over Mata's
move to the North West of England.

"If Wenger sells Mesut Ozil to Manchester United in this moment I
would be very happy because he sells a very important player,"
Mourinho said in a statement.

"Normally he should be happy that Chelsea sold a player like Juan
Mata, but this is a little bit his nature."

Responding to Jose Mourinho's statement after Arsenal's FA cup win on
Friday, Wenger said:

"I was asked a question, I gave an honest answer. I am still naive
enough to believe that sometimes people are more interested in the
ideas than about creating conflict."

On the Chelsea's manager's claim that Arsenal gets favourable fixtures.
Wenger responded thus:

"Look, you choose over Christmas the fixtures and you tell me who had
the best fixtures! We played on Sunday against Everton, on Wednesday
in Naples and on Saturday morning at Man City, so we have not the same
assessment on that front. I can accept that we have different
opinions. Everybody is free in life to have their opinion."

But earlier on Friday in his press conference, Manchester City manager
Manuel Pellegrini also raised eyebrows by backing Arsene Wenger over
his unfair claims over Mata's transfer, but conceded it part of the
transfer system:

"Personally I don't agree that the player can go from one team to
another team in the same league at this part of the year but rules are
rules and he can change clubs," the City manager said.

He added further;

"Maybe Manchester United have an advantage because Chelsea wanted to sell him.
All the other teams that Chelsea can play against may be an important
reason. I think in this transfer window, players that play more than
five or six games for the same club cannot change to another.
"I am talking about fair play. If you allow it then maybe teams with a
lot of money can buy important players from the teams fighting with
them for the title."

The opinions shared will however not stop Mata's transfer to
Manchester United, as the key issues remains what happens on the field
of play.
