Arsenal
visit Villa Park tonight in the reverse
fixture of the first match of the season. It is a match the Gunners must win in
order to return back to the top of the table.
Paul
Lambert's Aston Villa have only scored seven goals and conceded fourteen at
home this season. They have also lost six of their ten home matches. And boost a
better away record than their performance at home. Their cause have not be
helped by Christian Benteke who has struggled in front of goal in comparison
to last season where he enjoyed a scintillating introduction to English
football.
Arsene
Wenger's Arsenal boost a formidable away record, though the out of season
injury sustained by Theo Walcott might curtail their pace in attack.
However,
the returning Oxlade Chamberlain as well as the emerging Serge Gnabry and Lukas Poldoski all
have key roles to play in the second half of the season following the injury to
Walcott.
Mezut
Ozil and Oliver Giroud should be fresh after their injury induced rest.
Although the former made a cameo in the FA cup win over Spurs 10 days ago.
It
no doubt promises to be a fiercely contested match with alot riding on it for
both sides at both ends of the table.
