Wenger: Arsenal have to sell some players

Arsene Wenger has said that the club would have to let some players
leave because of it large squad.
Speaking after Arsenal's win over Chelsea on Sunday in the Community
Shield, the Frenchman said the squad has to be trimed down.

"To be honest, the number is too high," he said

"We will let some players go. Too much competition for places is
detrimental, but not enough competition for places is detrimental as
well."

So far, players that have left the club permanently this summer
includes goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who left for Juventus and Yaya
Sanogo who left for Toulouse after this contract expired.

As the club looked to trim down its squad, players that are in that
list of likely departures includes, Lucas Perez, who was the subject
of a bid from Deportivo la Coruna, Mathieu Debuchy, Kieran Gibbs, Carl
Jenkinson, Calum Chambers and Jack Wilshere.

The club has between now and the end of the month to shift out
unwanted players from it books.
