Wenger: Alexis Sanchez will respect his contract

Arsenal's pre- season has been over shadowed by speculation of players
who have just under a year left in their contract. And the principal
protagonist has been Alexis Sanchez. No press conference has gone by
without manager Arsene Wenger being asked about the Chilean's
contract.

After returning to training on Tuesday following an extended break,
the spot light has again being on him.

Arsene Wenger has today, re-emphasised the position he has held along
all summer, by saying he would be staying at Arsenal, and he expects
hm to respect his contract.

"He will be here for this season and if we manage to do it for more
seasons, we will do it as well." Wenger said

"The only thing I can tell you is he is focused,"

"My decision is clear - he will stay and he will respect that."

The Frenchman also went further to say, he would not address any more
speculation about the Chilean's contract publicly.

"It is not information anymore, it is suicide."

It looks every bit that it would be another season in Arsenal's
colours for the Chilean who was the club's leading scorer last season.
