Arsenal's goalkeeper embarks on Getafe loan

Arsenal have announced that third choice goalkepper Emiliano Martinez
will spend the season on loan at Spanish side Getafe.

Its his fifth loan away from the club, but his first outside of
England as the previous four where spent in the English lower leagues.

The 24 year old was tipped to move up the pecking order to assume the
second choice position at the club this season, but following David
Ospina's decision to stay and fight for his place, Arsene Wenger has
taken a decision to send the Argentine on loan.

He had memorable pre-season during Arsenal's tour of Asia, when he
saved a couple of penalties which helped Arsenal beat Bayern Munich
from the pot after they played out a 1-1 draw.

The 6ft 4in keeper is highly rated by Arsene Wenger. With reports that
he is one of the reasons the Frenchman decided to let go of Wojciech
Szcenzny. With the Pole joining Juventus in July.

Petr Cech and David Ospina would be the first and second choice
respectively this season. While Macey could be called upon from the
youth team barring any injury crisis.
