When Pep Guardiola announced in mid December last year that he would be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of this season, the announcement did not come as a surprise to many observers, because it was an open secret that he would be leaving the bundesliga at the end of his three year contract. It was his next destination that has left many people wondering, until he announced last week that he would like to test himself in the Premier League, as a result several top clubs are speculated to be scrambling for his services, but his announcement that he is heading for the world's most popular football league has put pressure on several Premier League managers.
Obviously noticing the pressure he has put some premiership manager's under, he has subsequently issued an apology to managers in the Premier League this Tuesday.
he claimed he was "sorry" if his comments last week were disrespectful to his fellow managers
"It was not my intention to offend anybody," he continued.
"Normally in my career as a trainer and as a player, I respect my colleagues a lot."
When asked about the club he would be managing next season, he declined to give anything away, but he concluded by saying: "I don't know. Of course I'm focused on Bayern Munich, but this doesn't change the fact that I will be training a team next season."
According to reports, he is odds on to take over at Manchester City at the beginning of next season, but he has also be linked to Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
