Nigeria's Super Eagles B have qualified for the finals of the Wafu Cup
currently going on in Ghana after beating neigbhours Benin Republic
1-0.
Kano Pillar's Rabiu Ali scored the all important goal in the 10th
minute for the Eagles.
Benin Republic's chances of getting an equaliser suffered a setback
when they were reduced to ten players in the 33rd minute after
Marcellin picked up a second yellow card.
Nigeria had chances to put more gloss on the scoreline, but they
spurned the chances that came their way. Gabriel Okechukwu had a late
chance cleared off the line in the 86th minute.
Nigeria now await the winners of the other semi finals, where host
Ghana would be favourite to advance.
